The economical crisis requires fast solutions
Based on this, The National Insurance Conference "Republic of Moldova - realities and perspectives" aims to create a debate platform for the main aspects that mind the activity in the insurance segment in the Republic of Moldova, as to underline certain optimal solutions to boost the market rehabilitation.

It is obvious that 2010 was the year in which the economical crisis has worsened, bringing along new challenges for the European profile market. The insurance industry in the Republic of Moldova makes no exception in this scenery, 2009 bringing losses after many years of development.

Although the local profile segment is still at an early stage, we are talking about a young market that holds great potential. Both insurance penetrations in GDP, that reached 1.4%, as well as the insurance's density, of about EUR 16 per capita, are much lower in comparison with the European countries. However, foreign investments are already making their presence felt in this segment, and the entrance of new players will only help the natural development of the local market.

In this context, rethinking development strategies and distribution channels diversification in parallel with institutional and organizational reforms represent the primary objective of insurance companies and brokerage.
